CKD is “chronic kidney disease” with a meaning of damage to the kidneys that can get worse over time. >Long lasting and damage is very bad, your kidneys may stop working and called kidney failure or Dialysis is one of the last option in case your kidneys fail or kidney transplant in order to live. Common causes chronic kidney disease (CKD)

It’s been divided in to 5 stages from very mild damage in Stage 1 to complete kidney failure in Stage 5.

  • Stage 1 with normal or high GFR (GFR > 90 mL/min)
  • Stage 2 Mild CKD(GFR = 60-89 mL/min)
  • Stage 3A Moderate CKD(GFR = 45-59 mL/min)
  • Stage 3B Moderate CKD(GFR = 30-44 mL/min)
  • Stage 4 Severe CKD(GFR = 15-29 mL/min)
  • Stage 5 End Stage CKD(GFR <15 mL/min)
  • Healthy life style
  • Prevent the cause
  • Follow a low-salt, low-fat diet
  • Do not smoke or use tobacco
  • Have regular check-ups with your doctor
  • Exercise at least 30 minutes on most days of the week
  • Diabetes and high blood pressure are the most common causes of CKD.
